We walk the shores of the Melides lagoon, gently collecting what doesn’t belong. Along the way, we share stories about the land, the water, and the communities that call this place home.
We end with a moment of reflection - and sometimes a visit to a local rice farm.
It’s less about cleanup. More about care.
The Opening to the Sea
Each year, the people of Santo André gather where the lagoon meets the land. With hand tools and heart, they carve a narrow path - reconnecting fresh water to the sea.
It’s not a performance. It’s a ritual of renewal.
